Away win: U21’s successful again
Keep it up! The U21 of SV Darmstadt 98 secured their second win in a row. On the 6th matchday of the Hessenliga, U21 coach Daniel Petrowsky's team faced SC Waldgirmes and won with a confident 3-0 win. Fabio Torsiello (35th), Markus Ballmert (46th) and Henry Held (64th) secured the away three points with their goals.
DFB-Pokal Round 2: SVD travel to Dresden
The 2nd round of the DFB Cup has been drawn: SV Darmstadt 98 will face Dynamo Dresden away in the cup competition. This was the result of the official draw early on Sunday evening (September 1st) in the German Football Museum. Live on ZDF, Sonja Greinacher, Olympic champion in Paris in basketball, drew the lot of the Lilies against the third division team under the supervision of draw manager and DFB Vice President Peter Frymuth.
Lilien and Lieberknecht go their separate ways
Torsten Lieberknecht is no longer head coach of SV Darmstadt 98. After internal analysis and several intensive discussions with everyone involved, the 51-year-old has asked to end the collaboration for the benefit of the club. SV 98 complied with his request.
