The winter break is over and the Lilien professionals trained again in Darmstadt for the first time after the training camp in Spain on Tuesday (January 14th). In 2009, over 50,000 spectators were in the sold-out Düsseldorf Arena to watch the third division game between Fortuna and the understudy of SV Werder Bremen in wonderful summer temperatures. A record crowd for the 3rd league. For one simple reason: Fortuna was able to find its way back to the 2nd Bundesliga in this game. No sooner said than done. As part of the Lilies' training camp in El Saler, 30 Lilies fans and SV 98 club officials visited the sports club „Castellar Oliveral C.F. on Saturday evening (January 11th). Pobles del Sud“, whose sports grounds were completely covered by a layer of mud as a result of the severe storms at the end of October. Around SV 98's home game against Preußen Münster in November, 4,800 euros were raised thanks to cup donations, which were then made available to the club for renovation work.
