It became clear right from the start that the two teams are currently the strongest teams in the Hessenliga. The game was balanced and extremely exciting – with a slight increase in chances on the Lilies‘ side. But it wasn’t until the end of the first half that Mateo Zelic in the 39th minute managed to get the ball into the opponent’s box and send SV 98 into the break with a 1-0 lead.
For a long time it looked as if the Hünfelders would have to accept another defeat after six successful games in a row. But the hosts hit back in the final phase.
