After intensive internal examination, SV 98 decided against an objection because the DFB had already not followed SV 98’s arguments from the first statement. From SV 98’s point of view, the few chocolate coins that got onto the pitch through the safety net in the south stand were not the cause of the game being interrupted by the referee.
Regardless of this detailed question, SV 98 believes it is completely wrong, especially for fundamental reasons, that the clubs have now been fined across the board for peaceful nationwide fan protests in the wake of a very controversial association decision. However, since almost all clubs have accepted the penalty requests, SV 98 sees no basis for going almost alone to the DFB sports court and possibly other instances. Especially since the guidelines for the penalties in the wake of the investor protests had previously been decided by the Control Committee in coordination with the DFB Presidium and are applied accordingly by the sports courts.
