Since it is currently not foreseeable when Dimo Wache, who is currently on sick leave, will be able to work as the Lilies' goalkeeping coach again, Alexander Kynaß is now looking after the goalkeeping team. The 36-year-old was most recently the goalkeeping coach at Belgian club KAS Eupen.

In Alexander Kynaß we have found an excellent replacement who, despite his age, has already achieved a lot of experience as a goalkeeping coach, I am convinced that our goalkeepers will benefit from Alexander’s expertise and training methodology.“
Before working in Eupen, Kynaß worked for many years as a goalkeeping coach in the youth performance center of 1. FC Köln and also acted as goalkeeping coordinator there. He had previously trained junior goalkeepers at TeBe Berlin, Hallesche FC and Leipzig.
Steve Kroll, who previously represented Wache during his illness-related break, is returning to his old position in the Merck Young Talent Center (NLZ). The 27-year-old is now working again as a goalkeeping coach and coordinator of the interface between the goalkeepers from the NLZ and the professionals.
