Big Easter egg hunt with the Bölle Gang
Who hasn't experienced it? As the days of the actual holiday draw ever closer, so does the anticipation. To further enhance the excitement of Easter among the youngest Lilien fans and to help pass the time before the holidays, the Bölle Bande of SV Darmstadt 98 once again organised a big Easter egg hunt at the Merck Stadium at Böllenfalltor on Maundy Thursday (April 17).
The Merck Stadium at Böllenfalltor was transformed into a colourful Easter paradise: The Bölle Bande had invited its members to a very special Easter egg hunt – and over 120 children accepted the invitation. The kids enthusiastically set out to search for the lovingly hidden Easter eggs.
No hiding place was too ingenious, no corner too hidden – around the south stand, the back straight, and the north stand, every nook and cranny was searched. And the band members found something. Once every Easter egg had been found, there was another special surprise for the diligent hunters: Lilien professional Paul Will came to visit and handed out the prizes for the eggs they found. A golden egg won a free Lilien jersey, a silver egg a voucher for a place in the Bölle Bande, and all other eggs received chocolate Easter bunnies.
And the day had another surprise in store: To round things off, all participants had the opportunity to watch the professionals train. From the Bölle, many went directly to the training ground, where the children were able to watch their favourite players at work – including photos and autographs after the training session, of course.
„Our children had a tremendous amount of fun that day,“ reported a smiling parent whose child scooped the top prize: „When my child held the golden egg in her hand, it seemed like she was more excited about the egg than about her birthday present.“
A successful start to the Easter weekend with many children’s eyes shining.
