The Christmas season is getting closer – and the anticipation is rising for the Darmstadt Christmas singing in the Merck Stadium at the Böllenfalltor! Alexander Brunst is not just a goalkeeper at SV Darmstadt 98. No, this Wednesday (November 13th) he is also working as a social media editor. +++ Nürnberger in action for Bulgaria +++

Fabian Nürnberger has already appeared on the pitch for the Bulgarian national team three times – and the Lilies‘ left-back is back in action for Bulgaria during the current international break. In the UEFA Nations League (League C, Group 3), there is an away game against Luxembourg on Friday (15.11/8:45pm) before the team meets group runners-up Belarus on Monday (18.11) at 8:45 p.m. at home.

These two matches are the last group games in the Nations League. Bulgaria could then continue in the knockout phase. But in a balanced group, points are urgently needed. With two wins, the Bulgarians around Nürnberger could even jump to first place and secure an excellent starting position for the next round. +++ Sweden debut for Lidberg? +++

There could be a first for Isac Lidberg. The Swedish striker from SV Darmstadt 98 was called up for his home country’s senior national team this week. It is the first call-up for the Lilien attacker, who leads the top scorers list in the 2nd Bundesliga with nine goals this season. Previously, Lidberg was only used for several Swedish junior national teams. Now he could make his debut in the UEFA Nations League. The home game against Slovakia awaits on Saturday (16.11/8:45pm) – the top game of Group 1 in League C. Both teams lead the group with equal points, but Sweden has the better goal difference. Afterwards, another home game awaits the Swedish selection on Tuesday (19.11/20.45pm): The national team from Azerbaijan, who remain pointless are the visitors.

+++ The largest Christmas choir in southern Hesse +++

It’s going to be Christmassy at the Bölle! On December 21st, SV 98’s Stadion GmbH invites you to Christmas singing in the Merck Stadium at Böllenfalltor, moderated by the popular comedian Woody Feldmann. The evening’s music will be provided by the Darmstadt band Silverballs, the almost 80-strong pop choir 21 from Bergstrasse and the Mikado choir – a powerful vocal experience that will put fans in the Christmas spirit. Tickets for this special evening are already available in advance and can be purchased online as well as in the ticket shop at the Merck Stadium. If you prefer standing room, you can also find these tickets in the City Fan Shop.

Last Sunday (November 10th) the ball rolled across the pitch again in the Darmstadt district league. In the home game, the SV 98 fan team welcomed the second team from TSG Wixhausen. Thanks to a late goal from Julian Schreiber in stoppage time, the “zwote Zwote” were able to fight for a 1-1 draw and thus secure a valuable point. The team is currently in sixth place in the table.

The next games are coming up soon: On Wednesday (November 13th) at 7:30pm they will play on home court against FTG Pfungstadt II. The following Sunday (November 17th) the team will face league leaders VFR Eberstadt at 3 p.m. Both games will take place on the artificial turf pitch on Ostendstrasse in Pfungstadt. The Lilies fan team is happy about any support from both parties.

Long shall they live! On Saturday (November 16th) there will be two reasons to celebrate in the Lilien family: Christopher Busse, athletic trainer at SV 98, is celebrating his 35th birthday. Marco “Toni” Sailer can also look forward to his special day on the same date. The man with the beard is 39 years old. We wish you both a happy birthday!
