Almost 30 points behind the German champions Bayer Leverkusen, which means they are only fifth in the Bundesliga. Add to that the elimination against VfB Stuttgart in the round of 16 of the DFB Cup: If you look at Borussia Dortmund's record in the national competitions this season, there is little euphoria. On the other hand, BVB will be in the Champions League final against Real Madrid at Wembley Stadium in London in two and a half weeks. It's a season in which Dortmund shows two completely different faces. The last few weeks have been the best example of this: Borussia did not concede a goal against the star ensemble from Paris St. Germain in over 180 minutes, and last weekend they conceded three goals after 23 minutes against Mainz 05. Before the last Bundesliga game of the season, we take a closer look at Borussia Dortmund.
The „Stadion Europa Youth Festival“ will take place on May 29th from „Lernort Stadion e.V. – Bölle makes education“ and SV Darmstadt 98 in the Merck Stadium at the Böllenfalltor. In the run-up to the European Football Championship in Germany, both partners want to work together to inspire young people from Darmstadt and the surrounding area in the Lilies' home stadium in a youth-friendly and fun way for a diverse and democratic Europe and thus get them in the right mood for the UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany.
Autograph cards, signatures on jerseys and scarves or selfies: The 98ers will fulfil your wishes on Wednesday (May 15th). The sports court of the German Football Association (DFB) has imposed a fine of 25,000 on SV 98. The reason for the penalty is two incidents from the home game against VfB Stuttgart (February 17). On the one hand, the DFB sanctioned the throwing of tennis balls with 20,000 euros, and on the other hand, the sports court punished the pouring of a drink on a person from the referee team with a fine of 5,000 euros.
