Bundesliga Dream: Visit from India

In 2022, the German Football League (DFL) launched the "Bundesliga Dream" initiative. This initiative supports local football institutions in Asia in developing and promoting youth football. As part of the "Bundesliga Dream India" project, 16 players from an Indian U15 team recently visited SV Darmstadt 98. During their visit, the young footballers participated in training sessions at the Lilies' youth academy, received a stadium tour, attended SV 98's home match against Arminia Bielefeld, and played in a friendly match. We take a look back at these eventful days.

U21 team loses 4 – 1 in Pohlheim

The SV Darmstadt 98 U21 team had another away game this weekend. In difficult conditions, the young Lilies faced FC Turabdin-Babylon Pohlheim. Coach Daniel Petrowsky's team displayed a committed and attractive performance for much of the game, but failed to capitalise on their chances and made too many simple defensive errors. In the end, Darmstadt suffered a clear 4-1 defeat.

Round of 16 in the DFB Cup: Darmstadt away in Freiburg

The pairings for the DFB Cup round of 16 have been drawn: SV Darmstadt 98 will face SC Freiburg away from home. The draw took place on Sunday evening (November 2nd) at the German Football Museum. Under the supervision of draw manager and DFB Vice President Peter Frymuth, sailor Felix van den Hövel, who acted as the draw's host live on ZDF, drew the match between Darmstadt and the Bundesliga club.
