The first round of the DFB Cup has been drawn: SV Darmstadt 98 will face FC Teutonia 05 Ottensen away at the start of the new 2024/25 cup season. This was the result of the drawing in the German Football Museum with Nils Petersen and DFB Vice President Peter Frymuth on Saturday (June 1) as part of the ARD sports show.
Paul Fernie: “We are looking forward to the trip to Hamburg and the duel with Teutonia. A portion of Darmstadt 98 is also represented there with the current coach Immanuel Höhn. We face a strong team, but of course we want to live up to our expectations and move into the next round.”
The first DFB Cup round and thus also the cup opener for SV Darmstadt 98 will take place between August 16th and 19th. The exact match date will be announced by the DFB.

Despite falling behind, Darmstadt secured their second consecutive home win! Darmstadt defeated Energie Cottbus 3-1 (1-1). The home side equalised after conceding an early goal in the four-minute period through Weißhaupt before halftime. Vukotic headed his team into the lead in the second half, before Lührs sealed the victory with the third goal. This home win brings Darmstadt's season total to seven points.
