It won’t be long before it’s time for the eLilien again: get on the controller and get into the match! In order to present themselves in the best possible way in front of the console this year, the SV 98 eFootball team is relying on well-known and experienced players such as Dogukaan “xDoki44” Gün and Louis “ThAaXxLouisXx” Liberka. Both are entering their third season for the eLilien. The team is also building on young and hungry faces like team newcomer Nassim “Nassada” Dahman. The loyal eLilien fans can also look forward to the return of Kaan “xKaan61_” Tuncer this year. He has already been active for the South Hesse eFootballers and is returning to the new Böllenfalltor for the season.

In the coaching position, the Darmstadt team relies on Marvin Wolff, who is well supported by assistant coach Louis Liberka. As in the last season, Ben Louis, who acts as the team’s content creator, will ensure the entertainment of the audience.

The goal of the eFootballers of SV Darmstadt 98 is to make it into the top 8 in their division and thus move into the playoffs.

We think we have the best opportunities this year.

The mode and the opponents:

Furthermore, only the teams from the 1st and 2nd Bundesliga take part in the VBL. These are divided into two divisions – North West and South East. The eLilien are divided into the Southeast Division. The opponents there are: Hertha, Frankfurt, Augsburg, Fürth, Bayern Munich, Karlsruhe, Mainz, Freiburg, Stuttgart, Ulm, Heidenheim, Hoffenheim, Kaiserslautern, Nuremberg, Regensburg, Elversberg and Leipzig.

The game is played in the EA FC 2025 Ultimate Team mode, where gamers can put together a team of first and second division players. In addition, each club receives two “VBL Power Items” – i.e. two players from their own club with a total strength of 99. The eFootball players from SV Darmstadt 98 have chosen the strikers Oscar Vilhelmsson and Fraser Hornby. On top of that, players also receive a “Hero Item” and “Icon Item”.

The special feature this season is that you only play against one opponent per match day. Each encounter involves playing against each other in one two-on-two and two one-on-one duels. Match days take place every week from Tuesday to Thursday. The division phase lasts until the beginning of March 2025. On March 22nd and 23rd of next year, the respective qualifiers will play the winner of the VBL among themselves in the final tournament. You can find more information here.

When, how and where can I support?

Next Wednesday (October 23rd) the SV 98 boys will start their first game of the new season. The eLilien kick off against FC Augsburg. Kick-off on the virtual pitch is at 5.30pm. However, this game will not be played in the Loop5 shopping center as usual, but offline in the Straßekickerbase Cologne, where all other VBL teams will also be on site.

However, you can follow all other match days live as usual. The eLilien stream all other games live on their official Twitch channel (sv98_efootball). If you would rather see the boys up close and live on site, you can also pay a visit to the SV 98 eFootballers in Loop5 and watch them play EAFC live and cheer on the boys directly. In order to stay up to date, the eLilien regularly provide information on their accounts on X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram.

Loop5: The eLilien's living room

As in previous years, SV 98 will hold the online game days of the Virtual Bundesliga in the gaming lounge in the Loop5 shopping center in Weiterstadt. The eLilien continue to be supported by the Bauer & Guse agency. Software AG remains the main sponsor this season. The eFootball players receive further help and support from 28Black, Suzuki and Craft. SV 98 and especially the eFootball department would like to thank its partners for their loyalty and great support and hope for a successful season.
