Arrival/Parking

By car:

Guest fans are recommended to take the A9 to the Leipzig-West exit, direction B181 via Merseburger Straße, Rückmarsdorfer Straße and Hans-Driesch-Straße to the arena.

Barrier circle:

On match day there will be a temporary exclusion zone around an adjacent residential area. Due to the increased volume of traffic, there may be significant travel disruptions around the stadium. For this reason, we strongly recommend using the car parks, park-and-ride car parks and public transport. The ticket entitles you to travel on MDV public transport for four hours before and four hours after the game.

Parking options:

Cars: There are no parking spaces for cars around the stadium. The following P+R parking spaces are recommended for car drivers:

Leipzig trade fair
Schönauer Ring
Plovid Street
Lausen
Battle of the Nations Monument
Coaches: Guest fans who arrive by fan bus can get off and on again in the “Landauer Brücke/Am Sportforum” area. Directions to the arena’s guest area are supported by stewards. During the game, the fan buses are parked on “Cottaweg” street.

Public transport: As mentioned above, the tickets include travel authorisation (four hours before and four hours after the game) on MDV public transport throughout the city (zone 110). Tram lines 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8 and 15 go to the arena (stop “Sportforum Süd” or “Sportforum Ost”).

Stadium

Guest sector:

The entrances to the guest sector are signposted and are located near sectors C/D. Only cashless payments (EC and credit cards, mobile payments with smartphones) are possible in the stadium. The guest sector is not barrier-free. The Leipzig fan representative (inclusion & diversity) Mandy Voigt is available to answer any questions. Stadium sectors B and D are home fan blocks. Access is therefore only possible with home team fan paraphernalia or in neutral clothing.

Stadium opening:

Admission to the arena begins 2 hours before kick-off.

Tickets:

There is no box office. On match day there is a clearing desk at the visitors‘ block. The employees are happy to provide support if necessary.

Backpacks/Bags:

To ensure smooth operations at the entrances, no backpacks or bags larger than 25 x 25 x 25 cm may be taken into the arena. There is also no possibility to hand in bags and backpacks during the game. We therefore recommend leaving larger bags and backpacks in the car or fan bus.

#YourViewCounts:

Serves as a holistic contact point for fans, employees, athletes, to report border crossings of all kinds. Look out for each other. Don’t look away if, for example, you notice incidents in the arena that do not correspond to our basic attitude. The colleagues from “Opferhilfe Sachsen e.V.” are also available to our visiting fans on match days. If necessary, please contact your main contact person at the Leipzig fan representatives or a security guard at/in the guest area.
