On Friday evening (January 17th/6.30pm) SV Darmstadt 98 will be guests at Fortuna Düsseldorf. In this message we provide you with all the important information for your visit to the Merkur Spiel-Arena.

Arrival / Parking

By car, nine-seater, coach/parking:

Address: Messe Düsseldorf, parking lot P2, Stockumer Höfe, 40474 Düsseldorf

Coming from the A44, please use the Stockum exit. From there follow the signs. Unfortunately, parking spaces cannot be provided free of charge. Parking fees are €5.00 for cars, €20.00 for VANs (nine-seaters) and €35.00 for buses.

A total of 1,500 parking spaces are available to guest fans in the P2 parking lot. Anyone who parks in P2 but has a seat outside the guest area cannot go back the same way after the game due to fan separation and will have to take a detour. Fan buses will be directed by the police to the trade fair’s multifunctional area next to the P2 car park.

Parking for people with disabilities:

Wheelchair spaces are located in Block 23, on the back straight (Sparkasse Grandstand). Upon presentation of the blue EU parking permit, wheelchair users receive a free parking space in the guest parking lot P2. If you have any questions, please contact Fortuna’s disability officer, Betty Nowag, on 0177/9593951 or via email.

Fortuna offers visually impaired fans the service of a commented audio system. Two seats are reserved for away fans at each game. Tickets can only be ordered via Stefan Felix, Fortuna’s representative for the disabled with a focus on blind and visually impaired people, on 0173/4162302.

By public transport:

From Düsseldorf main station you can reach the Merkur Spiel-Arena with the U78. Fans with tickets for the guest area (gray/silver card) please use the lion walk to reach the guest area.

Guest fans who are visible in Düsseldorf’s old town will be approached by the police and directed to guest shuttles that drive directly to the stadium.

Important note: The Löwengang is closed after the game due to fan separation. Departure from the guest area via the Merkur Spiel-Arena/Messe Nord subway station is not possible. The fastest way in all directions, including back into the city, is via the shuttle buses to the airport long-distance train station. These will then be in close proximity to P2.

Stadium

Guest area: North-East entrance.

Guest blocks: The guest area extends to blocks 19 – 21 (standing area) and 125 to 132 in the upper tier (seating). There are a total of around 5,300 seats available, of which around 1,700 are standing room.

Stadium opening: 2 hours before the game starts, i.e. at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.

Box office: There will be no box office on Friday. A service cash desk/clearing point is also open from 4:30pm.

Stadium/entrance tickets: Tickets for the guest area are in grey/silver; access is only possible via the north-east entrance. Maps for the remaining areas of the stadium are red; the south and north-west entrances can be used here. The north-east entrance cannot be used with red tickets. The south stand (lower and upper tier) is the home area of ​​the Fortuna fans. Entry with colors or symbols of the visiting club is not permitted. Guest colours and symbols are not welcome in the southern circulation; it is recommended to move outside the glass doors.

Controls: Bags and backpacks are prohibited in the stadium. Only small bags up to A4 size can be taken into the stadium. We ask that you leave bags and backpacks in your car or coach or lock them at the train station. All banners, banners and fence flags are also checked (for prohibited items).

Photos & cameras: Permitted are: all cameras without interchangeable lenses and digital cameras. Not allowed are: prof. SLR cameras, sound and image recording devices and other professional material.

Fan materials:

  • unlimited small flags
  • 25 double holders
  • up to 5 drums (visible, open at the bottom, already taken)
  • 6 megaphones (already taken)
  • 12 swing flags
  • The escape routes in the blocks must not be overhung by fixed elements (such as poles, flagpoles, ropes, etc.). Fence flags may be attached to the fences in the lower tier and to the parapet in the upper tier. The escape gates in the lower tier must be able to be opened.

Prohibited are:

  • Confetti
  • Balloons
  • Pyrotechnics
  • Block flags
  • Sexist, discriminatory and xenophobic banners
  • Clothing from Thor Steinar, Consdaple and Masterrace.
  • However, for banners that are not made of B1, it is necessary that they be handed over to the security service after being presented or thrown into the interior.
