Fan Information for Mainz

On Saturday afternoon (April 6th/3:30pm) SV Darmstadt 98 will be guests at 1. FSV Mainz 05. You can find all the important information for your visit to the Mewa Arena stadium here.

We asked the railway about the possibility of a relief train. Unfortunately the railway cannot offer this to us. However, we recommend the regular connection with increased capacity, which starts at 12.38pm from Darmstadt main station and arrives at Mainz main station at 1.11pm. For the return journey we recommend the also increased connection from Mainz main station at 6.22pm. Arrival in Darmstadt is scheduled for 6:50pm. The railway is increasing train capacity for both connections.

Further important information: In order to be able to use your admission ticket as a train ticket, you must enter the ticket number free of charge on a homepage to activate the combination ticket. You can find more information about traveling by public transport below.

Arrival / Parking

By car:

There are no parking spaces for cars available at the MEWA ARENA. Guest fans arriving by car can alternatively park in the free park-and-ride car park at the trade fair (Genfer Allee, 55129 Mainz). Numerous shuttle buses run from there. In Mainz there is an environmental zone that can only be entered with a green sticker. The trade fair car park is not affected by this.

The arena can be reached from the following directions:

From the north: A 643
From the south: A 63
From the east: A 60
From the west: A 60, L419/Saarstraße

By coach/nine-seater:

Parking spaces (P9) are available at the guest block for fan buses and nine-seaters. The cost is 20 euros per bus and 10 euros for each nine. IMPORTANT: Access is only via Koblenzer Straße (Lerchenberg exit)!

By public transport:

First of all: Unfortunately, the railway cannot provide us with a relief train. We requested that accordingly.

Please note: The admission ticket is valid as a combined ticket for travel to and from the stadium throughout the RNN and RMV using public transport. In the RNN area, the combination ticket is valid for the entire day of the event. In the RMV area from 5 hours before the start of the event and is valid until 5 a.m. the following day.

IMPORTANT: In order to activate the combination ticket, the ticket number (found on the printout directly under the ticket) must be entered here free of charge and then a few other details must be provided. Further information and explanations can be found here.

In Mainz you can also use the official bus or tram connections to the stadium. These start directly at the main train station. – Arena tram stop: Jakob-Heinz-Straße/Arena, lines 51 & 53 – Bus stop: Kisselberg, buses 54, 55, 56, 58, 62, 74, 91, 93

Stadium

Opening:

Stadium opening: The stadium opens 2 hours before the start of the game. Blocks H, I (sitting blocks) and J (standing blocks) are part of the guest area.

The material control will take place in an area separated by a fence on P9 directly next to the guest entrance. The area can be seen from all sides, so that fans can see the controls at any time. The material can be spread out on tables for viewing, which enables relaxed control. After the check, the tickets of the people who were present during the check are scanned by the security service. Only enough fans can enter the area during the check so that the check can be carried out properly.

Abgabestelle: Beim Einlass besteht die Möglichkeit Rucksäcke und Taschen (größer als 30cm x 30cm x 15cm) kostenfrei abzugeben, da diese nicht mit ins Stadion genommen werden dürfen. Bauchtaschen, Turnbeutel, sowie die Stadiontasche sind nicht von dieser Regelung betroffen. Professionelle Fotokameras mit Wechselobjektiv über 200mm Brennweite und weitere Wechselobjektive, sowie Videokameras sind nicht gestattet.

Alcohol limit: There is no set alcohol limit, but people who are visibly intoxicated will be prohibited from entering the MEWA ARENA.

Food: Taking drinks with you is not permitted. Tetra Paks up to 0.25l are excluded from this. In the guest area you can pay with your debit card, EC card and credit card. It is also possible to pay with Google Pay and Apple Pay. Cash payment is not possible!

Fan paraphernalia:

The following fan items are permitted:

  • 3x megaphones (already taken)
  • 15x swing flags (>2m)
  • 5x drums (open, visible, already taken)
  • Flags with a stick length of up to 2m
  • Double holder flags
  • Fence flags (may not be hung over the advertising board and the escape gate)

An eight-goal thriller to close out the season. The SV Darmstadt 98 U21 team took to the pitch one last time this season on Saturday (May 30th) – away against FC Eddersheim. The young Lilies secured a 5-3 victory in Eddersheim, finishing the 2025/26 Hessenliga season in eleventh place. Even more remarkable, however, was the U21's run at the end of the season: the Blue and Whites won their last five matches, scoring an impressive 22 goals in the process.

„I’m proud of you,“ were the words of U21 coach Sebastian Schmitt to the team after they secured their place in the Hessenliga. On Saturday (May 23rd), SV Darmstadt 98’s U21 team had the chance to stay in the league against Turabdin Babylon Pohlheim – and they seized it impressively! The young Lilies delivered a convincing 5-1 goal fest, but at the same time still needed help from other teams to guarantee their survival. For the fourth time, the Haftpflichtkasse insurance company and SV Darmstadt 98 have jointly awarded four clubs with the Volunteer Award.
