Fan information for the Hertha game

On Saturday afternoon (April 12th at 1pm), SV Darmstadt 98 will host Hertha BSC. In this report, we'll provide you with all the important information for your visit to the Olympic Stadium.

Arrival / Parking

By car/bus/nine-seater:

From Hamburg/Rostock:
Take the A24 towards Berlin. At the Havelland interchange, keep right and follow the signs for the A10 towards Leipzig/Magdeburg/Potsdam. At the B5 exit, head towards Berlin-Spandau-Zentrum. Follow the road until Passenheimer Straße. Turn left onto Passenheimer Straße. From there, turn right onto Jesse-Owens-Allee. Continue straight onto Trakehner Allee. The Berlin Olympic Stadium will be on the left.

From Dortmund, Hanover/Magdeburg:
Take the A2 and then continue on the A10 towards Hamburg (northern Berliner Ring). Take the Spandau exit (Heerstraße/B2/B5). From Heerstraße, turn left onto Passenheimer Straße.

From Munich/Nürnberg, Leipzig:
Take the A9 towards Berlin and then continue on the A10 (Berliner Ring). Keep right, continue on the A115 and follow the signs for Berlin-Tegel Airport/Berlin-Zentrum/Zehlendorf/Potsdam-Zentrum. At the Funkturm interchange, keep right and follow the signs for the A100 towards Hamburg/Wedding/Zentrum/Messedamm ICC. Keep right at the fork, follow the signs for Zentrum/Messedamm/Messegelände ICC and continue on Halenseestraße. Follow the road onto Messedamm. Turn left onto Masurenallee. At the roundabout, take the fourth exit (Heerstraße/B2/B5). Follow Heerstraße to Flatowallee and turn onto it. The Berlin Olympic Stadium is directly ahead.

By coach:

Arriving by bus is similar to arriving by car. When arriving from the north, please note that Heerstrasse is temporarily restricted to 18-ton vehicles. Coaches park on Jesse-Owens-Allee and, if this is full, also on Passenheimer Strasse. The graphic shows where guest buses are allowed to park.

Parking:

Navigation address for P07: Parking lot, Passenheimer Str. 32, 14053 Berlin

There are various parking spaces available around the Olympic Stadium. The official guest parking lot is PO7. The parking fee is €10. Disabled parking spaces are located in PO5. Use is free with a blue or orange parking permit. Otherwise, parking is free along Heerstrasse.

Number 9s who can be assigned to your active fan base are allowed to park near the buses (Jesse-Owens-Allee). Jesse-Owens-Allee is free of charge. All other number 9s and cars must use the parking spaces (PO7).

By public transport:

We recommend taking the S-Bahn to Olympiastadion S-Bahn station. For this, take the S3 or S9 trains towards Spandau/Olympiastadion S-Bahn station.

Important: Please take the exit towards Flatowallee at Olympiastadion S-Bahn station!
Regular tickets do NOT serve as public transport tickets during the match.

Stadium

General Information:

  • The stadium opens 90 minutes before kickoff, i.e., at 11:30am.
  • A ticket office will be available on match day via a QR code for the away section.
  • Compared to last season, there are new ticket scanners at the stadium entrances. To ensure they can read tickets easily, please set the screen brightness to a sufficient level and hold your phone/ticket steady at a distance of 20-30 cm from the devices.

Away Fans:

  • The away section is located in blocks G and H.
  • Fans with tickets for the away section should use the south gate only.
  • Away fans with disabilities and mobility restrictions will be admitted through the middle gate.
  • The east gate is for home fans.
  • Wearing away fan clothing is prohibited outside the away section.
  • We ask all away fans to avoid the area in front of the east stand.
  • Only bags up to DIN A4 size (297mm x 210mm) with a maximum depth of 15cm are permitted in the stadium. Anything larger (e.g., backpacks) should be left on the bus, car, or at the train station. Alternatively, there is a paid baggage drop-off in the containers between Coubertinplatz and PO5.

Other:

  • Alcoholic beer will be served in all areas.
  • In the away section, certain food stands also offer vegan bratwurst and currywurst, as well as fries and pretzels as alternatives for fans who follow a vegan or vegetarian diet.

The following fan materials are permitted:

  • 3 megaphones
  • 5 drums
  • 10 large flagpoles (poles longer than two meters)
  • Small flags (poles up to two meters long) and fence flags (unlimited).
  • Rolls of tape
  • One set of spare batteries for the megaphones
  • Material bags can be taken into the stadium after being checked and inspected.

Miscellaneous

Hertha BSC is sending a clear message against right-wing extremism. Spectators wearing clothing from the „Thor Steinar“ company will be denied entry to the Olympic Stadium. Furthermore, flags, double banners, banners, etc., containing offensive letter combinations (e.g., NSDAP or similar), words or slogans, and clothing with these inscriptions are prohibited.

Safety Concept:

The „Where is Lotte?“ safety concept was launched at the start of the 2022/23 season. A safe space is available for those affected by any kind of discrimination—such as sexism, racism, or homophobia—to seek support and assistance. Emergency psychosocial care is available on site, and there is contact with the medical services.

Inclusion Team:

The Inclusion Team supports people with and without disabilities when visiting the stadium on matchday. This includes assistance with the entry phase during the game in the stadium blocks, assistance through the use of loaner wheelchairs, or escorting people to the stadium blocks. Staff members are available to assist at the accessible entrances and in the various stadium blocks.

After 13 unbeaten second-division matches, SV Darmstadt 98 suffered their first defeat this Friday evening. Three unfortunate minutes just before halftime, during which Patric Pfeiffer was sent off and Vincent Vermeij scored twice, paved the way for Dresden's victory. After the match, the focus was primarily on the differing assessments of two very similar incidents by the refereeing team – incidents which both coaches subsequently evaluated identically.
