Fan Information for the Köln Game

On Saturday evening (March 15th at 8:30pm), SV Darmstadt 98 will travel to 1. FC Köln. In this report, we'll provide you with all the important information for your visit to the Rhein-Energie-Stadion.

Arrival / Parking

For cars, nine-seaters, and buses, please enter the following information into your navigation system: Aachener Straße 800, 50933 Cologne. Please take exit 103 „Köln Lövenich“ (coming from the A1). Parking lot P4 is available for visiting fans. To avoid conflicts among fan groups, please do not use the signposted bus parking lots P6 and P8 for home fans in the south.

ATTENTION: Leaving engines running is prohibited and will result in a fine from the City of Köln.

Parking fees:

The parking fee for cars is €9.00, and for fan buses and nine-seaters, €20.00.

Train, public transport:

The „RheinEnergieSTADION“ stop is served by regular KVB Line 1. On match days, special trains also run from the „Neumarkt“ stop.

Public transport combo ticket: For 1. FC Köln home games, the admission ticket also serves as a combined ticket for local public transport (ÖPNV). This means that fans can use the Rhein-Sieg Transport Association (VRS) public transport system free of charge with their admission ticket to get to the stadium and back after the game. The VRS ticket is valid for the outward and return journey as usual from four hours before kickoff until the end of service in the evening.

IMPORTANT: It is advisable not to wear fan clothing when using public transport on the way to the Rhein-Energie-Stadion.

Stadium

  • Stadium opens at 6:30pm.
  • Away fans will use the standing areas in Block N 6 and the seats in Blocks N 15 and N 16.
  • In case of high attendance, Block O 11 can be sold as a guest section.
  • The entrance to these areas is located in the northeast of the RheinEnergieSTADION.
  • Kiosks offering food and beverages are located throughout the away section. Payment is only possible by cashless payment method (Girocard, credit card, or Apple Pay and Google Pay).
  • Smoking is prohibited in the stands (standing and seating areas) during 1. FC Köln events.
  • Bags or backpacks are not permitted in the RheinEnergieSTADION. Furthermore, there are no storage facilities at the stadium.
  • Security staff will conduct strict alcohol screening. Spectators with a blood alcohol level of more than 1.1 per mille or who are intoxicated will be denied entry to the stadium.
  • Stadium bans: Stadium bans apply to the stadium and the entire area of ​​the pitch and arena. Persons who have been issued a nationwide stadium ban are strictly prohibited from staying in this area on 1 FC Köln event days. In the event of violations, 1 FC Köln reserves the right to file charges for trespassing under Section 123 of the German Criminal Code.

The following fan materials are permitted:

  • 3 megaphones (already allocated)
  • 5 drums (already allocated)
  • 6 large flags (poles longer than 2 meters, already allocated)
  • Small flags (poles up to 2 meters long)
  • Fence flags

Information for away fans with disabilities

Fans in wheelchairs or those with visual impairments will find their seats in blocks 02-07.

Further information

A ban imposed by the Köln Public Order Office prohibits the carrying of glass bottles, glasses, and beverage cans in and around the RheinEnergieSTADION and its surroundings from three hours before kickoff until three hours after the end of the game. This ban also applies to the guest parking lot P4. Violations can result in a fine of €25. Disposal containers are available for fans.

The glass ban also extends to the restaurants and kiosks located in the area surrounding the stadium. These are prohibited from selling glass bottles and beverage cans, as well as serving beverages in glass.

Consumption of food and beverages is also prohibited in all KVB vehicles.

Awareness concept “Where does Panama go?”

1. FC Köln has introduced „PANAMA,“ a support service for anyone who feels uncomfortable, unsafe, harassed, or inconvenienced at the RheinEnergieSTADION. This is how the „Where’s the way to PANAMA?“ support service works:

  • The affected person alone decides which situation is considered threatening.
  • Those seeking assistance can approach FC staff and all other employees (security guards, paramedics, service personnel, etc.) at the RheinEnergieSTADION with the question „Where is the way to PANAMA?“ or the code word „PANAMA.“
  • If the question or code word is stated, no further explanation is required. Immediate assistance is provided without further questions or evaluation!
  • Various support services are available, tailored to the situation. Those seeking assistance decide for themselves the type of support they require.
  • There are various rooms at the RheinEnergieSTADION where those seeking assistance can retreat if desired. The psychosocial emergency care providers of the German Red Cross (DRK) are available there to provide initial care for those seeking assistance, decide which measures are necessary, and, if necessary, refer them to organisations specialising in the specific case.
  • Contact and description of relevant incidents are also possible after home games.
