Fan Information for the Magdeburg Game

On Sunday afternoon (02.03/1.30pm) SV Darmstadt 98 will be guests at 1. FC Magdeburg. In this message we provide you with all the important information for your visit to the Avnet Arena. For those who decide at short notice: There will be a box office on match day, which opens at 11.30am.

Arrival/Parking

Enter navigation system for cars, nine-seaters and buses: Gübser Weg 20B, 39114 Magdeburg. Please only enter the address Gübser Weg from Hammelberg, otherwise there is a risk that you will end up in the home area.

Car, nine-seater:

Take the A2 past Magdeburg to the Lostau/Hohenwarthe exit. Here turn right onto the L52 towards Lostau and drive through the town to the B1. There turn right onto the B1 towards Magdeburg. From the entrance to Magdeburg, continue on the B1 (Berliner Chaussee) until the VW Autohaus City appears on the left. Here continue on the B1 towards Magdeburg. (From there you will also find signs to the guest parking lot). Turn left into the street “Am Hammelberg” and continue until the end (please note that the road bends to the right as it progresses). The street ends at Gübser Weg. Turn right here and continue to the signposted guest parking spaces.

Buses:

The guest fan buses drive a slightly different route and initially continue on the B1 (Berliner Chaussee) until the B1 forks. Then get into the left lane and continue on Berliner Chaussee until you reach Paul-Ecke-Straße. Turn left there and drive along Leineweberstraße to Gübser Weg. Turn left here and continue until you reach the entrance to the guest parking spaces. Fan buses please use the first guest parking space. Traveling through Magdeburg is not recommended due to extensive construction work in the city center and the high frequency of home fans.

Parking fees:

The parking fee for cars/nine-seaters is 5.00 euros and for fan buses 10.00 euros. The guest parking lot opens at 10:30 am. Travelling through Magdeburg is not recommended due to extensive construction work in the city center and the high frequency of home fans.

Train, public transport:

We recommend that individual train riders or small groups without recognizable fan paraphernalia arrive at the main station as follows to get to the stadium: Leave the main station at the Kölner Platz exit (between platforms 5+6). At the tram stop there, take line 4 towards Cracau and travel a total of six stops to the Mehringstraße stop. Cross the street there and walk right to Friedrich-Ebert-Straße. Turn left there and continue walking to the VIP entrance, turn there, cross the parking spaces and continue to the entrance to the guest area. The admission ticket entitles you to use MVB trains and buses from three hours before the game until three hours after the end of the game.

IMPORTANT: It is advisable not to wear fan clothing when using the tram on the way to Avnet Arena.

Stadium

  • Stadium opening: 11.30am
  • Box office opening: 11.30am
  • The guest parking lot opens at 10:30am
  • Guest area is seating block 15.
  • It is not permitted to bring backpacks/bags (larger than 25 x 25 x 25 cm) into the stadium.
  • There is a limited drop-off option at the guest entrance.
  • Car drivers are still asked to leave their bags and backpacks in their vehicles.
  • Belt bags can be taken into the stadium after checking.
  • Not allowed in the stadium: digital cameras with interchangeable lenses, food and drinks of all kinds (with the exception of non-alcoholic tetra packs up to 0.2l).
  • You can pay with cash at the refreshment stand in the guest area.
  • We also ask you to find out about the stadium regulations in advance.

The following fan materials are permitted:

  • 3 megaphones (already taken)
  • 5 drums (already taken)
  • Small swing flags under 2×2 meters
  • 10 large swing flags over 2×2 meters
  • 10 double holders
  • Fence flags

Information for away fans with disabilities

Fans in wheelchairs arrive inside in front of the guest block and report to the stewards at the guest entrance. They will then be escorted through the home area to their seats. Further information is available here.
