After the interactive introduction, the children set out to collect freshly laid eggs. The different colors and sizes thrilled the little visitors. This practical part of the workshop not only provided knowledge about the origin of the eggs, but also promoted understanding and respect for the animals.
A highlight of the day was undoubtedly preparing scrambled eggs together from the freshly collected eggs. Each child was allowed to lend a hand and help actively before they enjoyed the meal together.
The workshop also placed emphasis on the importance of species-appropriate chicken farming and regionality in food production. The gang members received exciting insights into sustainable agriculture, which increased their awareness of environmental protection and healthy nutrition.
The Bölle Gang’s visit to the “Hofgut Oberfeld Farm Learning Place” was not only educational, but also gave the young gang members the opportunity to make new friends – a day full of fun, education and practical experience that the children will certainly remember for a long time will stay.
