From top to premium partner: liability insurance extended until 2027

The liability insurance fund and SV Darmstadt 98 will continue their cooperation in the future: Both partners have agreed to extend the partnership, which has existed since July 2022, until the end of June 2027. The property and casualty insurer from Roßdorf, which has been active as Lilien's top partner for the past two years, will act as a premium partner of SV 98 in the future.

In addition to the use of title and logo rights as well as extensive logo placement, the industry-exclusive sponsorship of the liability fund also includes advertising time on the TV-relevant LED boards and on the cam carpets on the sidelines of the Merck Stadium at the Böllenfalltor. The sponsorship package also includes targeted performance marketing measures that ensure a broad digital reach and high visibility for the liability fund.

The traditional company from Roßdorf remains a partner of the sustainability campaign “Under the Sign of the Lily”. In the course of the two-year collaboration to date, the volunteer award, which the liability fund and SV 98 launched together, has already been awarded twice – with the aim of promoting and honoring meritorious and charitable work in club sports with prize money. The volunteer award will continue to be awarded annually.

In addition, the liability insurance fund will act as the main partner of the future SV 98 training fair, at which numerous Lilien partners and sponsors can present their training opportunities, especially to young, potential interested parties. This training fair is expected to take place next year.

Martin Kowalewski, Managing Director of Marketing & Sales at SV 98: “We are very pleased that our partnership with the liability insurance company will continue in the future. The contract extension until 2027 and the cooperation from now on at the premium partner level is a clear commitment to our sports club. In the last two years, we have been particularly impressed not only by the trusting cooperation but also by the liability fund’s active commitment to social and voluntary work in the region. We will continue to honour these together with the volunteer award. We are even more pleased that we have a long-established company from the region at our side as a strong long-term partner, the liability insurance company.”

Roland Roider, Chairman of the Board of the Liability Insurance Fund: “After two years as a top sponsor, we are pleased to be continuing our joint commitment with Lilien as a premium partner. Precisely because Darmstadt 98 is an important anchor of identification in the region, we are convinced that we will be able to continue to provide important impulses in the areas of sustainability, social commitment and inclusion based on our shared values. In addition, we are proud to be able to accompany and support the club’s journey. We look forward to a successful future together – and, last but not least, to an exciting season.”

Disappointment & pride

Darmstadt's 2-1 defeat at Karlsruher SC also ended any remaining theoretical hopes the South Hessian club had of finishing the season in the top three. The loss at the Wildpark stadium served somewhat as a symbol for the past few weeks, during which SV 98 had only managed one point from five matches since the international break in March. Following the game on Sunday afternoon, the Darmstadt players addressed the assembled media representatives with mixed feelings.
