Gjasula extends at SV 98
Klaus Gjasula remains a Lily. The defensive player extended his contract on Thursday (July 11).
Paul Fernie: “We are pleased that Klaus Gjasula will also be part of our squad next season. On the one hand, Klaus gives us flexibility in the defensive network as he can hold several positions. On the other hand, he leads the way on and off the pitch and totally identifies with the club.”
Torsten Lieberknecht: “Klaus is a complete professional who is a lot of fun to work with and who is important for the dressing room. As a ‚change player‘ he also helps the younger players with integration and further development. He demonstrated his importance for a team, not least at the European Championships with Albania.”
Klaus Gjasula: “I have had many great experiences with the club over the past few years that I wouldn’t want to miss. I’m all the happier that my time with the Lilies continues. I’m really looking forward to seeing the boys again and getting to know the new recruits.”
Gjasula moved to the Lilies in the summer of 2021, for whom he has since played 63 games. Last season he played in 22 Bundesliga games.

SV Darmstadt 98's U21 team suffered a 4-1 defeat at home against FC Gießen on Sunday. The team, currently twelfth in the table, hosted the favoured visitors, who secured third place with this victory.
Darmstadt Chamber of Industry and Commerce and SV 98 enter into a cooperation agreement on training and further education
Strengthening vocational training and further education in southern Hesse: To this end, the Darmstadt Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK Darmstadt) and SV Darmstadt 98 have entered into a cooperation agreement.
