Junglilies on fire | Get your Christmas tree!

Whether with the U21, with the fan team or on the virtual pitch: things are going well for all three of these SV Darmstadt 98 teams. We'll report on it. There is also a Christmas tree sale for a good cause waiting for you on Thursday (December 5th/2pm to 7pm). You can read about all of this in our weekly “Lilies across the Board” section.

+++ U21 on the road to success +++

This team is on a roll and finding their first season in the Hessenliga better and better. The SV Darmstadt 98 U21 team has gradually stabilised after a challenging start to the new season. Last weekend’s 1-0 win against FC Bayern Alzenau was the third success in a row. In any case, the Junglilien have only lost one of the last nine games. This successful phase also allowed coach Daniel Petrowsky’s team to climb up the table. While SV 98 was in one of the relegation zones a few months ago, the Lilies have already moved nine points away from the dangerous zone. With 34 points, the U21s are in sixth place in the table. Particularly positive: With only 22 goals conceded, the Junglilien have the best defense of all 19 Hessen league teams. Keep it up!

+++ For a good cause: Christmas tree sales at Bölle +++

Do you still need a Christmas tree and want to do something good at the same time? No problem. Because on Thursday (December 5th), SV 98 is holding a Christmas tree sale from 2pm to 7pm in front of the fan and ticket shop at the Merck Stadium at Böllenfalltor. For every tree sold, five euros go into a donation pot, which is ultimately distributed to the “MuKis” facility in Darmstadt, among others. Lilien professionals Fabian Holland and Paul Will will also stop by for an autograph session. So it’s worth coming by!

+++ eFootballer with a big win +++

Will they stop winning again? On the 6th matchday of the Virtual Bundesliga, the eLilien achieved a real victory when they confidently prevailed against 1. FC Nürnberg last Wednesday (November 27th). First, the SVD won the doubles 5-1. So the SV 98 eFootballers only had to win one individual game to win the overall game. And they did – clearly. It was 11:2 for the Darmstadt team after 90 virtual minutes.

Can the eLilien continue their run? However, a big task awaits the eFootball players this Wednesday evening (December 4th/5:30pm). It’s against the top team from Leipzig. In the South-East division, this duel is a real cracker. While the Saxons are in second place, the Lilies follow close behind in third place. However, if the points are equal, only Leipzig’s better goal difference separates the two teams. Both teams have so far been able to collect 15 points after six matchdays. Good luck, eLilien!

+++ Fan team knocks upstairs +++

Won again. Last weekend, SV Darmstadt 98’s “Zwote Zwote” achieved a hard-earned 3-2 home win against SKG Nieder-Beerbach against their direct competitors in the district league C. The numerous warnings from the referee showed how hard-fought this success was. In total he handed out nine yellow cards, three time penalties and finally one red card. But much more important: the three points that let the fan team knock on the relegation spot for promotion. Only one point separates the Lilien team from that rank.

For the last time this calendar year, the fan team has to go out on the pitch in wintry temperatures. The away game at the second representative of TSG Wixhausen awaits on Thursday evening (December 5th/7.30pm). Then the Lilies say goodbye to their well-deserved winter break until March.

+++ Hello, Bluesky! +++

In addition to their account on X (formerly Twitter), the Lilies now also keep their fans up to date on the social media platform Bluesky. There, followers are provided with pictures, news and impressions about SV 98. SV Darmstadt 98 can be found on Bluesky under the name @sv98.bsky.social.

+++ Happy Birthday, Kai! +++

Unfortunately, Kai Klefisch was unable to fulfill his birthday wish of reaching the quarter-finals on Tuesday evening (December 3rd). The midfielder celebrated his 25th birthday yesterday, Tuesday, and was on the field for over 90 minutes against SV Werder Bremen on his special day. Cheer up, Kai! We wish you all the best for your belated birthday.
