Killian Corredor in Portrait
The ninth new addition to the Bölle comes from France this time. His name is Killian Corredor and he was one of the top five scorers in the French second division last season. He has now moved from Rodez AF to SV Darmstadt 98. The 23-year-old, who was born in Montpellier, brings two years of experience from the second highest division in the neighboring country and comes from the youth academy at FC Toulouse. We have taken a closer look at our new offensive player and would like to introduce you to Kiki – his nickname in recent years – introduce.
Killian in Darmstadt. A new season begins for the determined Frenchman in his football career. Corredor made a huge splash in France, especially last season. Across all competitions, he collected a total of 19 goals and eight assists in 44 competitive games – the best result of his career to date. “He’s kind of our mascot,” Rodez captain Bradley Dagar joked last season. “He is able to run eleven to twelve kilometers per game and can still keep a clear head in front of the goal. He is our striker who can do everything: score goals, hold the ball, run…,” his former teammate also explained.
The versatile attacker comes from a family of footballers for whom playing for Rodez AF has become something of a tradition. Father Gregory Corredor once played there, brother Morgan is currently active with the second team. Killian, born in Montpellier, is no exception. He received his football training in Rodez, after which his path continued to the youth academy of FC Toulouse. There he also took his first steps in men’s football as their second representative. Corredor spent a total of three years in the city in the heart of France – his record for FC Toulouse B is 32 games and twelve goals.
Corredor then moved back to Rodez in the summer of 2021 and made his debut for the professional team the following September. With the club he gained experience in the second division and the French Cup. In the 2023/24 season he also led his team into the playoffs, where the team narrowly won against Paris FC (5:4) in the first round, but was defeated by AS Saint-Étienne (0:2) in the second round became.
From now on the Frenchman will wear the Lily on his chest. He has already completed his first game – and successfully. In the DFB Cup he came on as a substitute against FC Teutonia 05 in the 60th minute and showed off his skills in the lead-up to the 3-1 win. We look forward to more. And welcome you to the Böllenfalltor, Killian!
