Lilien Managing Director Martin Kowalewski traveled to San Antonio himself to gain first-hand experience: „The two soccer camps in San Antonio and Beaumont are a further step in our partnerships with both clubs. The camps perfectly match the goals we have set for ourselves within the framework of our respective collaborations, and we are proud to be able to bring a little Lilien know-how to Texas.“
From June 2nd to 6th, around 40 children participated in the „Summer Camp“ hosted by San Antonio FC and SV 98. The sessions in the Texas sun were led by Bogdan Ficut and Vincent Prölß, who have already conducted numerous camps in Darmstadt and the surrounding area and are active as coaches at the SV 98 youth performance centre. One goal of the Lilien’s cooperation with SAFC is to promote young players and foster intensive intercultural and knowledge exchange.
Between June 9 and 13, another camp will take place at SVD Beaumont, led by Ficut and Prölß. The football club in southeast Texas was founded by Lilien fans with the support of SV Darmstadt 98. The collaboration between SV 98 and SVD Beaumont Texas places a special emphasis on the social aspect of soccer. Both clubs view soccer as a valuable tool for social integration and have set themselves the common goal of providing access to the sport for disadvantaged young people in the Texas region.
