Lilien Golf Tournament | Debut for Nürnberger

The resignation of Torsten Lieberknecht and the signing of Florian Kohfeldt naturally dominated the headlines around the Merck Stadium during the international break. But there is also news about the „Bölle“ outside of the head coach position. You can find all the important topics in our weekly “Lilies across the Board” section.

+++ National Team Debut for Nürnberger +++

Debut for Fabian Nürnberger: Our number 15 made his debut for the Bulgarian national team and was on the field for the entire match in two games in the UEFA Nations League. In Group 3 of League C, the Bulgarians first met Belarus in Hungary (0-0) before winning the duel with Northern Ireland 1-0.

In October, coach Ilian Iliev’s team will first welcome Luxembourg as part of the Nations League (October 12th/6pm), before the away game in Northern Ireland on October 15th (8:45pm).

Bulgaria is the home country of Nürnberger’s mother. We warmly congratulate Fabian on his successful debut in the national team jersey!

+++ Golf tournament with partners and sponsors +++

On September 6th, SV Darmstadt 98 initiated a Lily golf tournament among partners and sponsors for the first time. A varied program awaited the guests at the facility in Gernsheim: an introductory course for those who wanted to try golf, as well as a tournament for experienced players on a 9-hole round. More than 50 participants enjoyed the special day in the best weather.

Following the award ceremony, the evening ended comfortably with a barbecue buffet and networking until sunset.

Our special thanks go to Ralf Althaus and the team at the Gernsheim Golf Resort for their warm hospitality, as well as to all our sponsors for their support and trust in the club.

+++ Lilies double pack on Saturday +++

A true Lily Saturday awaits everyone who sticks with the SV 98. First, the professionals will welcome Eintracht Braunschweig at the Kohfeldt premiere in the Merck Stadium at Böllenfalltor, kick-off is at 1pm. At 3:30pm the U21s will play second-placed RW Walldorf.
