Lilies Start Training Camp
The Lilies have arrived in Bad Wörishofen, where SV 98 will be holding its training camp until July 18th. Here you can find all the information about the first day in Unterallgäu.
Arrival in Allgäu
At 9am, the Lilien team, consisting of coaching staff, players, and staff, set off for Bad Wörishofen. The next phase of SV 98’s summer preparations begins today, Thursday (July 10th), in the Kneipp spa town with a population of almost 18,000.
Florian Kohfeldt: „We’ve worked through the basic blocks in the past few weeks, and now we’re slowly entering the final phase of preparation. The coming days will be tough, but we’ll also be working on topics that have been prominent in our preparations so far. The first three weeks were the foundation, and now the focus is on what we need to have a very good chance of winning the game against Bochum. That’s our focus.“
At 2:15pm, the South Hesse team entered the „Parkhotel“ and immediately went to lunch before the traveling group checked into their rooms. Shortly before 5pm, the Lilies saddled up their bicycles, which they will use to travel the approximately 1.8 kilometres to the training grounds in the coming days.
However, the players didn’t need football boots when they arrived at FC Bad Wörishofen’s pitch. Under the guidance of athletic trainer Christopher Busse, the Lilies completed a strength circuit. After around 75 minutes, the first of numerous sessions that Florian Kohfeldt’s team will be facing in the coming days ended. A friendly against FC St. Gallen awaits on Thursday (July 17).
Almost all players have made the trip to Bad Wörishofen. Fabian Holland, who has contracted a virus, is absent. The Lilies hope that the 34-year-old will be able to travel, but will first wait and see how things develop in the coming days.
