Game day quote:

I'm looking forward to a duel under floodlights with one of the biggest traditional clubs in Germany. I really like playing on Friday evenings. The team likes it too. That's why we're all looking forward to it.

Florian Kohfeldt, head coach of SV Darmstadt 98

Opposition View:

Miroslav Klose, head coach of 1. FC Nürnberg, at the press conference before the duel: “In the first leg they had another coach, Torsten Lieberknecht, but we know how we played against them away. We know how many problems we had against this team and that’s exactly what I expect tomorrow. They can break up 1v1 situations and they have a lot of position changes within their own ranks. When they have the ball they are difficult to tackle. We will be brave there and we will have to run a lot defensively in this game in order to even get the ball and perhaps force our game on them. The players will need courage and the right attitude tomorrow. We have to achieve compactness in the game as quickly as possible.“

The Officials:

  • Referee: Daniel Siebert
  • Assistants: Patrick Kessel and Benedikt Kempkes
  • Fourth Official: Assad Nouhoum
  • VAR: Sören Storks and Felix-Benjamin Schwermer

The Weather:

A temperature of around 1 degree is expected for the game against Nürnberg. The chance of precipitation is zero percent.
