New Arrival: Guille Bueno swaps Dortmund for Darmstadt
The Lilies can once again welcome an addition to their squad: Guille Bueno is moving from Borussia Dortmund to southern Hesse on loan. The 21-year-old Spaniard can be used variably on the left side and will strengthen SV 98 until the end of the season.
Paul Fernie: “We are happy that we were able to fill our last open position with a highly talented player. We have always communicated that we still want to be active on the left side. We are convinced that we have found the right player for us in Guille.”
Torsten Lieberknecht: „Guille’s home is the left side as a full-back or wide player. He interprets his position passionately and in a team-oriented manner. He also brings speed, technique and tactical understanding.“
Guille Bueno: “I had a very good exchange with those responsible, which strengthened my decision. Now I’m looking forward to the opportunity to play with Darmstadt in the second division.”
From his youth club C.D. Areosa went to traditional Spanish club Deportivo La Coruna for Bueno in 2020. After a season in the local reserve team, the then 18-year-old moved to Borussia Dortmund. Bueno played a total of 64 third division games for the U23s.

SV Darmstadt 98's U21 team proved their mettle at home against KSV Hessen Kassel II in the Hessenliga on Sunday (Oct. 11th). The home side equalised after conceding an early goal in the four-minute period through Weißhaupt before halftime. Vukotic headed his team into the lead in the second half, before Lührs sealed the victory with the third goal. This home win brings Darmstadt's season total to seven points.
