Marcel Schuhen: „It’s a great honour for me to be the Lilies‘ captain in the future. I’m very grateful for the trust placed in me. However, the armband won’t change my style or approach, as I’ve always tried to lead the way in the past. But I’m really looking forward to leading the team into the stadium in the future and knowing that I have ten players behind me who will support each other and put their hearts on the pitch. It was extremely important to me that there was a clean and transparent transition with Fabi. He’s had a difficult time, and I very much hope to be back on the pitch with him soon.“
Fabian Holland: „It was always something special to be on the field for the Lilies with the armband on my arm. However, due to my long injury and the health setbacks of the past few months, I fully understand that with Schuh, a player will be wearing the armband in the future, with whom the coach has a different level of planning security.
