At the start of training, head coach Torsten Lieberknecht invites his team to the training ground at the Böllenfalltor on June 22nd at 11am. The session is public and spectators are welcome. The 98ers will then go to a training camp in the Black Forest from June 24th to 28th. The focus of the first of two training camps this summer is a mix of running and soccer units. For this purpose, the South Hessians will be staying at the Hotel Sonnenhof in Lautenbach in the Black Forest, where they already stayed in the summer of 2018.

Familiar territory for the second training camp too: The Lilies are traveling to Herxheim again from July 15th to 21st to prepare for the coming second division season at the Hotel Krone. The Lilies will hold their summer training camp there for the third year in a row. Before SV Darmstadt 98 sets off for the Palatinate, the season opening fan festival will take place on July 13th in the Merck Stadium at Böllenfalltor.

While Bundesliga 2. starts the new season on the weekend from August 2nd to 4th, SV 98 will play numerous test games until then.
