Transfer News: El Kadiri joins Darmstadt
There continues to be movement in the Lilien's attack. SV 98 has signed Ibrahim El Kadiri from the Dutch club De Graafschap Doetinchem.
Paul Fernie: „Ibrahim possesses great pace and is a player who loves taking on opponents in one-on-one situations. He stands out for his varied dribbling style and is also a player with a tremendous work rate. We are delighted to have reached an agreement with De Graafschap on the transfer and to welcome Ibrahim to the ‚Lilien‘ family.“
Ibrahim El Kadiri: „From the moment contact was first made, I was excited by the prospect of playing for Darmstadt in the 2. Bundesliga. I am absolutely thrilled to be taking this step now. I’m really looking forward to the club, the fans, and the atmosphere at the Böllenfalltor.“
Born in Amsterdam, El Kadiri came through the Ajax youth academy between 2013 and 2017. After spending a year in FC Utrecht’s youth setup, the right-footed player—who holds both Dutch and Moroccan citizenship—joined FC Volendam in 2019. He made a total of 92 competitive appearances for FCV’s first team across the Eredivisie, the Dutch second division, and the cup, recording twelve goals and eight assists. He also tallied 22 goal contributions in 38 appearances for the reserve team.
For the past two seasons, El Kadiri played for the Dutch second-division side De Graafschap Doetinchem. Across 67 appearances, he was directly involved in 23 goals (13 goals, ten assists).
El Kadiri will wear the number 11 shirt for SV 98.
