+++ 100k for Africa - Germany's largest football boot donation +++

„An estimated 2.3 million football boots are sold in Germany every year. The result: a large number of football boots that are still in good condition are sorted out and often end up in the basement or other storage rooms in households across Germany,“ says the website „100k for Africa“ . The project of the same name aims to collect 100,000 pairs of football boots for players in Africa. SV Darmstadt 98 supports the project as a collection point. The football boots can be dropped off in the Lilien fan shop at the Merck Stadium at the Böllenfalltor until the end of the calendar year (opening hours: Wednesday to Friday, 12pm to 6pm).

+++ Seconds with a clear defeat +++

On Saturday evening there was a setback for the Lilien fan team: The second team had to admit defeat 1:6 away at VfR Eberstadt. At the beginning everything actually looked good, after seven minutes SVD player Nils Thierolf scored 1-0 from Lilien’s perspective, but the lead only lasted a minute. VfR from Eberstadt, who are still in the relegation battle of the district league C, scored four times in the first half through Thomas Denzel. In the second half it became even clearer, in stoppage time Eberstadt made it 6-1. Next up for the second team is next Saturday (18.05/1pm) against GW Darmstadt II, who are 14th in the table and are also still in a relegation battle.
