Markus Pfitzner: „Due to the revised structure of the match schedule for the 2026/27 season, it is possible to schedule the professional team’s trip during the newly introduced and extended three-week international break in September. This timing is much easier for us to coordinate with the fixture list and thus ensures the best possible sporting preparation for our team. We are very grateful to our friends at San Antonio FC for enabling us to agree on this new date in the second half of the year.“
From the outset, a key focus of the trip was to gain a deeper understanding of the local community, build further networks and partnerships, and engage in social initiatives. The exchange of knowledge with cooperation partners and the city of San Antonio extends far beyond the realm of sports. Accordingly, a delegation from the board and management will embark on the trip in March as planned to attend the already scheduled business and civic networking meetings.
