Florian Kohfeldt:

„My conclusion today is twofold: The first part about the game: We didn’t play well today – especially considering our structure, passing, and defensive play in the second half. Preußen played well today; we abandoned our structure. I didn’t like that. The halftime lead was fortunate, because it was our first truly dangerous shot. Despite our poor play, we still had our chances in the second half, including one or two controversial situations. Overall, the 1-1 draw is a fair result. The second part: We mathematically secured our safety today. I would like to commend the team and staff for that. We had a very, very difficult season with injuries in the winter, which continues to this day. The team deserves praise for staying up on matchday 31 under these circumstances. I wish Sascha and Preußen Münster all the best for their final games.“

Sascha Hildmann:

„I saw a committed, passionate, and extremely motivated game from my team. We gave it our all. We were fully committed from the start and put the opponent under pressure. Our quality was also a factor in Darmstadt’s poor start today. The 1-0 goal was, of course, a blow. It felt like the opponent took the lead with their first attack. We built up pressure after the break and were rewarded with the goal. But then we simply lacked the lucky punch that I would have wished the team had after this game.“

Clemens Riedel:

„Some in the locker room are happy with the point, some aren’t. I think we can be satisfied with the point. On the journey home, everyone will certainly realise that we managed to avoid relegation. It was a tough job. And we fulfilled our duty. Today was a difficult game. We couldn’t get into our groove, and Münster blocked us well. That’s why I didn’t really think we deserved the lead at halftime. In the second half, it was a game with a lot of back-and-forth. Before the goal, we misplaced our pressing. And then I slipped, which was very frustrating because I would have gotten to the ball otherwise.“

Luca Marseiler:

„It was the tough game we expected. Everything was at stake for Münster, and that was clear from the start. We knew it wouldn’t be a pretty game, but a tough one. We tried to give it our all. We didn’t concede much in the first half and were fortunate enough to go into the break with a 1-0 lead. When I scored, I saw a gap and put the ball on my supposedly weaker left foot to get a better angle – and then curled it into the corner. We wanted to take the three points. That also applies to the next games. But with the 1-1 draw, we’ve secured our place in the league and can plan for next season.“
