Preparation time is also test match time. After the Lilies have already played three test matches against amateur clubs from the area, head coach Torsten Lieberknecht’s team will meet the regional league team FSV Frankfurt on Wednesday (10/7 at 7pm), the game will be played in the PSD Bank Arena in Frankfurt-Bornheim. The German Football League (DFL) officially scheduled the first two match days of the 2024/25 second division season on Tuesday afternoon (July 9). The Lilies start the new season with the home game on Sunday (August 4th/1:30pm) against Fortuna Düsseldorf. The first away game will also take place on Sunday (August 11th/1.30pm) at SC Paderborn. The 2nd Bundesliga will then take a break due to the first round of the DFB Cup. As is well known, the duel between Teutonia Ottensen and SV 98 takes place on Sundays (August 11th/3:30pm) at the Millerntor Stadium in Hamburg.
As part of the training camp in Herxheim-Hayna, there will once again be a joint barbecue evening for fans and the team. This is planned for Thursday, July 18, 2024. All places are already fully booked and further registrations are no longer possible.
DFB Cup, 1st round. The Lilies face Teutonia Ottensen on Sunday (8/18/3:30pm). The game against the regional teams will take place in the Millerntor Stadium of FC St. Pauli. SV 98 successfully played its third test game: The Lilies won 8:1 (5:0) against SV 1919 Münster. Hornby (2x), Mehlem (2x), Vilhelmsson, Marseiler and Stojilkovic scored for Darmstadt.
