SV Darmstadt 98 has secured the services of a dynamic midfielder: Merveille Papela is joining the Lilies on a free transfer. The 23-year-old was active for 1. FSV Mainz 05 last season.

SV Darmstadt 98 is back in preparation and is currently working hard on the physical side at the training camp in Lautenbach. After the strenuous time in the Black Forest, the first test matches follow, where the Lilies meet some teams from the region. We will introduce you to the first three test match opponents in more detail.

The preparations for the Lilies are in full swing: Last Thursday (June 20th) all the players came together again for the first time in the SV Darmstadt 98 function building and completed medical tests and performance diagnostics. On Saturday (June 22nd), head coach Torsten Lieberknecht's team trained for the first time, with around 1,000 spectators in the stands at the Merck Stadium. On Monday (June 24th) the SVD sets off for the first training camp of the summer, the 98ers will stay at the Hotel Sonnenhof in Lautenbach until Friday (June 28th). The focus of the first of two training camps this summer is a mix of running and soccer units.
The SVD is back on the training ground! On Saturday morning (June 22nd), head coach Torsten Lieberknecht invited his team onto the pitch in the Merck Stadium and the Lilies trained for almost 90 minutes in front of around 1,000 spectators. After the team started preparations on Thursday (June 20) with numerous tests and examinations, the players now had a ball on their feet for the first time.
One day before the start of public training, SV Darmstadt 98 can announce another new signing: Central defender Aleksandar Vukotic is moving to the Böllenfalltor from SV Wehen Wiesbaden.
On June 22nd, SV 98 professionals step onto the football field for the first time in preparation. The opening training session for head coach Torsten Lieberknecht's team will take place at 11am in the Merck Stadium at the Böllenfalltor and is of course open to the public. Getting up early was the motto for the SV Darmstadt 98 players on Thursday morning (June 20th). When new signing Sergio Lopez arrived at the Böllenfalltor shortly before 7 a.m., he wasn't even the first lily at the Merck Stadium. Almost half an hour earlier, the first players from SV Darmstadt 98 had already arrived at the function building on Nieder-Ramstädter-Straße. And no matter which face you looked into that Thursday morning, there was a smile on every face. After almost five weeks of summer break, the Lilies at the Bölle start preparing for the 2024/25 second division season. After medical and performance tests, coach Torsten Lieberknecht's team returns to the pitch on Saturday (June 22nd/11am).
