The Lilies have signed defensive midfielder Kai Klefisch (24) from SC Paderborn to SV Darmstadt 98. Both clubs agreed not to disclose the transfer terms.
It will soon be sweating again on the 98er training ground. The Lilien players return to the Böllenfalltor on Thursday and Friday for medical checks and performance tests, and on Saturday (June 22nd) the first public session awaits coach Torsten Lieberknecht’s boys on the pitch. The ball has been rolling at the European Championships in Germany since last Friday (June 14th). The fifth newcomer for the 2024/25 season is defender Sergio Lopez. The 25-year-old was born in Remscheid, but then enjoyed his football training with Real in Madrid. We took a closer look at our wing player and would like to introduce you to Sergio.
The fourth newcomer for the 2024/25 season is goalkeeper Karol Niemczycki. The 24-year-old already has a lot of international experience, in addition to the Polish first division, Karol has already played in the Netherlands and with Fortuna Düsseldorf in the 2nd Bundesliga. We took a closer look at our new keeper and would like to introduce you to Karol.
This year, SV Darmstadt 98 is again providing free season tickets for the coming 2024/2025 season. The season tickets are valid for the Lilies' home games and are available to low-income people from Darmstadt.
At this stage of the year, the focus is increasingly on the new season, but things were still hot in the Lilies' youth performance center until a few days ago. For the SVD fan team, the absolute highlight game is in its third year and Friday (June 14th) is World Blood Donor Day. You can find out all this in our weekly section “Lilies across the Board”.
The liability insurance fund and SV Darmstadt 98 will continue their cooperation in the future: Both partners have agreed to extend the partnership, which has existed since July 2022, until the end of June 2027. The property and casualty insurer from Roßdorf, which has been active as Lilien's top partner for the past two years, will act as a premium partner of SV 98 in the future.
Team spirit, joy of playing and fair play – that was the motto of the “Football Meets Culture” (FtK) final tournament in 2024. Around 600 participants in the integrative educational program “Football Meets Culture” traveled from all over Germany to Darmstadt to compete in the U10 and U14 age groups to fight for coveted trophies. The SV 98 welcomed school classes from 23 cities to the Bürgerparkstadion.
SV Darmstadt 98 has secured the services of Sergio López. The player trained at Real Madrid passed the medical check on Friday (June 7th) and then signed a contract with the Lilies. Lopéz, who most recently played for FC Basel, can be used on either side of defence and as a wingback.
