Lilies win in Walldorf
SV Darmstadt 98 won their fourth pre-season friendly. The Lilies defeated regional league side FC-Astoria Walldorf 4-1 (0-0) after 120 minutes.
Last season we went to Dortmund. Now the next tour followed, which led to Gelsenkirchen: The second Krombach fan tour also turned out to be a great success - because this time the end result was also right. The second Krombacher fan tour took place on Friday (September 20th) with almost 50 Lilien fans. This led to SV Darmstadt 98's second division game at FC Schalke 04, which the Lilien spectacularly won 5-3 in the Schalke Arena after being 3-0 down.
A coach with almost 50 SV 98 fans left Darmstadt at around 9am and found its way to Krombach. A tour of the brewery awaited them there, followed by a tasting in the brewery – of course the Krombacher Dreiklang could not be missed.
After the refreshment, everyone involved made their way to Gelsenkirchen to the Schalke Arena. There the Royal Blues welcomed SV Darmstadt 98 on matchday 6 of the 2nd Bundesliga. The result? Outstanding. The gameplay? Pure spectacle. While the Lilies were behind 3-0 at one point, they overturned the significant deficit in the second half of the game with an acclaimed 5-3 away win. The mood in the guest block and among all participants in the Krombacher fan tour was correspondingly exuberant and reflected the great joy over SV 98’s first win of the season.
We are already looking forward to what we hope will be the next Krombacher fan tour.
