+++ Media session with Patric Pfeiffer +++

In a media briefing on Wednesday (Oct. 14th), Patric Pfeiffer discussed, among other things, last Saturday’s victory and the upcoming weekend’s opponent.

A solid defence will be crucial. The centre-back explained: „If we defend compactly as a team, it becomes harder for the opponent to score goals. That is what we are currently working on.“ At the same time, Pfeiffer is already focusing on the next opponent and warning against Karlsruher SC: „They have many good, experienced players. Every year, they show that they can bounce back well even from difficult spells. We will give 100 percent there.“

The Lilies aim to build on the success of the previous matchday when they face Karlsruhe. Pfeiffer made it clear: „We don’t want to rest on our laurels; we want to keep pushing hard this weekend.“

+++ Expansion of the recreational sports department +++

SV Darmstadt 98 is expanding its grassroots sports offerings: the „Darmstadt Diamonds“ American football team will become part of the club’s grassroots sports division. This opens up an opportunity for the team—which boasts a 40-year history—to begin a new chapter on a solid foundation. Full integration will be prepared over the coming weeks in collaboration with the Diamonds‘ leadership. With this move, SV 98 continues its commitment to the sustainable and diverse development of its grassroots sports programs.

+++ Birthday at the Böllenfalltor +++

+++ Stolperstein Tour +++

On Tuesday evening, another „Stolperstein“ tour took place to commemorate Jewish members of the SV Darmstadt 98 club. The approximately 35 participants covered a route of about six kilometres, walking from the fan shop on Wilhelminenstraße to Dr.-Karl-Heß-Platz at the Böllenfalltor stadium. At several stops along the way, archivists Thomas Spengler and Marc Rainer Balbaschewski shared details about the lives of these Jewish members. In addition to offering moving insights into the club’s history, they recounted stories—at times humorous and always informative—that brought the lives of the members from that era to life.

+++ Converging Ride to Nuremberg +++

Just a quick reminder! For the away trip to Nürnberg, SV 98 is picking up fans from locations across the Lilien Area—practically right on their doorsteps—to ensure the greatest possible support. The journey will be made using a total of six buses and a group travelling by train. To join in, simply choose the pickup point closest to you.
