For the third consecutive year, Haftpflichtkasse and SV Darmstadt 98 have honored four clubs with the Volunteering Award. The ceremony, including the presentation of the check, took place last Sunday (May 18) before the home game against SSV Jahn Regensburg at the Merck Stadium at Böllenfalltor. The joint Volunteering Award was launched in 2023 by Haftpflichtkasse and the Lilies to strengthen and promote volunteer work.

SV 98's 34th matchday of the 2024/25 season will be dominated by Tobias Kempe's final appearance with the Lily on his chest. In his 285th competitive match for the South Hesse club, the 35-year-old will captain the team against Jahn Regensburg. Alongside Kempe, Aleksandar Vukotic and Andreas Müller will also return to the starting lineup after serving their suspensions.
Tobias Kempe sustained a knee injury during team training on Friday (May 16). After consulting with the medical department, the 35-year-old informed SV 98 officials that he feels fit enough to face Jahn Regensburg. Thus, the longtime Lilien player will lead the team as captain in his final competitive match for SV 98 and start from the field.
