Presidential elections 2025: Nominations finalised

The deadline for nominations for the regular election of the Executive Board at the upcoming Annual General Meeting ended on August 15th, in accordance with Section 16 of the club's statutes. In addition to the previously announced candidacy of current Vice President Markus Pfitzner for the office of Club President, along with his team of Volker Harr (Vice President), Arnd Zinnhardt (Vice President), Anne Baumann (Executive Board Member for Finance), and Roy Reinelt-Peter (Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sports Departments/Fan and Support Department), no further nominations were submitted by the deadline.

Opposition Check: Hertha BSC

The year is 1926. Hertha BSC, the third-oldest professional club in Germany, is in the final of the German championship against SpVgg Greuther Fürth. The final score is 1-4 for Berlin. It is a match on even terms, but they lose 2-3. And even on their fourth attempt, in 1929, the title remains out of reach when SpVgg Greuther Fürth once again stumbles, defeating the Berliners 3-2. But this story is not just about four lost finals in a row. Above all, it tells of how Hertha BSC defied all setbacks at its fifth attempt, reaching the final again and triumphing 5-4 against Holstein Kiel in sweltering heat in front of 40,000 spectators in Düsseldorf. The long-awaited championship title was finally brought to Berlin—a moment etched in the memory of the club and its supporters. U17: Intensive training camp in Edenkoben

Five days, seven training sessions, a friendly against the SV Elversberg U17 team, and countless valuable insights – the SV Darmstadt 98 U17 team successfully completed their training camp at the Edenkoben Sports School. From August 3rd to 7th, head coach Eric Ledwina's team prepared under optimal conditions for the upcoming season in the DFB Youth League.

Away game in Düsseldorf: Member presale starts Wednesday

Sunday to Düsseldorf! SV Darmstadt 98 will travel to Fortuna Düsseldorf on Sunday (September 21st) for the sixth matchday of the second division. Kickoff is at 1:30pm. First defeat of the season for the U21

After a strong start to the new LOTTO Hessenliga season for the U21s, the Junglilien suffered their first point drop of the season on matchday three. In an intense and hard-fought game with plenty of tackling but few clear-cut chances, the South Hesse side ultimately failed to secure any points, losing 3-1 at home to SV Rot-Weiß Walldorf on Saturday (August 16th).
