Fundamentally important for everyone:

  • The game is sold out. Please note that counterfeit tickets and unauthorised entry will be reported to the authorities (obtaining services by deception).
  • Away fans (blocks X1, X2 and Y) must use the North-East entrance (Böllenfalltorweg) and present their printed ticket.
  • Wearing fan paraphernalia of the visiting team is not permitted in the home area on the opposite stand (A, O2 – O4 & G1 – G3) and the south stand.
  • Furthermore, the security service and the organiser are entitled to assign fans to a different seat or to remove them from the stadium in the interest of fan segregation.
  • Due to ongoing construction work at Ernst-Ludwigs-Platz (white tower) caused by a burst water pipe, there will be restrictions in tram traffic before and after the game.

Stadium opening and kick-off time

Kick-off is at 8:30pm. The stadium opens 90 minutes prior.

The parking garage for away fans opens at 5:30pm.

Arrival/Parking/Departure

SV 98 requests that all Lilies fans arrive at the Merck Stadium at Böllenfalltor early, if possible, using public transportation, walking, or cycling. Travel on the RMV (Rhine-Main Transport Association) is included in the ticket price.

Due to ongoing construction work at Ernst-Ludwigs-Platz following a burst water pipe, there will be disruptions to tram services before and after the match.

For fans traveling from Griesheim, there will be a direct tram service every 20 minutes from the „Wagenhalle“ (tram depot) to Luisenplatz starting at 5:53pm. Additional trams will also depart every 20 minutes from the „Maulbeerallee“ stop to Luisenplatz starting at 6:31pm. From 6:00pm. onwards, trams will run every five minutes from the „Kongresszentrum“ (Congress Center) stop on Schloßgraben, opposite the Darmstadtium Congress Center, to the stadium.

For fans traveling from Griesheim, there will be a direct tram service every 20 minutes starting at 5:53pm. Bus lines F, FM, H, K, and L, as well as regional bus lines, can be used as usual between Luisenplatz and the Schloss (Palace). Additional services directly to Böllenfalltor are also available on lines M2, O, B, and R.

HEAG mobilo will also operate extra trams after the match. These will take fans to the „Schloss“ (Palace) stop. Your stadium ticket also serves as a public transport ticket.

Orientation Plan

Entry Situation

The stadium has four entrances, which are divided into home and away sections:

  • Home section (north, south and main stand as well as opposite stand): Access via the entrances South-West (Lilienschänke), North-West (Karl-Hess-Platz) and South-East (Traisaer Straße).
  • Guest section (X1 and X2): Access only via the North-East entrance (Böllenfalltorweg).
  • VIP guests: Access via the separate North-West entrance (Karl-Hess-Platz).

The game is sold out. Members and season ticket holders can still purchase remaining tickets for the home section via the ticket exchange.

  • Upgrading tickets is possible on match day for a corresponding fee at the service point (entrance Böllenfalltorhalle) in front of the stadium.
  • Children aged 5 and under do not need a ticket and can visit the stadium free of charge. Children aged 6 and over require a child’s day ticket.
  • A limited number of referee tickets are available in the home section. These tickets (standing room) will be available at the service point next to the entrance of the Böllenfalltorhalle.
  • Please note that counterfeit tickets or unauthorised access will be reported to the authorities (obtaining services by deception).

  • Minibuses P7: 10€
  • Cars: 6€

Please read the detailed Arrival Information and only use the „North-East“ entrance on Böllenfalltorweg.

Coaches should contact our fan support team in advance to receive directions.

Arrival by Deutsche Bahn / Shuttle buses:

Arrival by train is via regular Deutsche Bahn trains to Darmstadt Central Station. From there, change to the VIAS Odenwaldbahn towards Groß-Umstadt/Wiebelsbach and get off at the TU-Lichtwiese stop. After a walk of approximately 15 minutes, you will reach the away entrance of the stadium. For matches where a large number of away fans are expected to arrive by train, shuttle buses will be available at the main station to take you directly to the stadium (away section) and back to the main station after the match. Please use the WEST exit at the main station (take the stairs up to the gallery from the platform and then turn right to the exit). The shuttle buses will be waiting at Europaplatz, located directly in front of the station.

Refrain from throwing cups and objects!

During recent matches, we have observed an increasing number of cups being thrown, and as a result, we will not only receive penalties from the DFB (German Football Association) sports court but have also had to issue numerous nationwide stadium bans of up to two years.

Please refrain from throwing objects! You are endangering others and committing dangerous bodily harm under Section 224 of the German Criminal Code. It is irrelevant whether someone is actually hit and injured by the cup.

Cannabis use is prohibited

The consumption of cannabis remains prohibited under current legislation (prohibition in sports facilities).

Guest Fans in Home Areas

Based on recent experiences, SV 98 would like to draw your attention to the following rules and precautions that apply to this match:

Wearing away team merchandise is not permitted in the areas of the opposite stand (blocks G1-G3, A, O2-O4) and the south stand.

The club, the police, and the stadium management are authorised to deny away fans access to these areas, even if they possess a valid ticket, and/or to remove them from these areas and, if sufficient space is available, to take them to the away section of the stadium. If no other suitable seat can be offered, the away fan in question may be removed from the stadium or denied entry; in this case, no compensation will be provided.

Note to fans of the Lilies

SV 98 generally welcomes members using their pre-sale rights to give tickets to friends and family. However, they caution that passing tickets on to visiting fans can always involve potential security risks or diminish the home advantage for SV 98 – no one should assume they are the only SV 98 fan doing others a favor. Pre-sale tickets are exclusively for SV 98 members and fans. Anyone using their pre-sale rights to give tickets to visiting fans must expect their preferential rights to be restricted, up to and including the revocation of their season ticket/membership, in accordance with the existing ticket terms and conditions.

The (profitable) resale of tickets, regardless of the method, is completely unacceptable. If discovered, this will result in the immediate blocking of the ticket, rendering it worthless to the original purchaser, and no refunds will be issued. SV 98 reserves the right to take further action, such as blocking season tickets, revoking membership, or issuing stadium bans. Alternatively, if you are unable to attend, you can use the SV98 ticket exchange on sv98.de.

SV 98 is obligated to provide the visiting team with up to 100 tickets in the best category (main stand). The visiting team is responsible for selling these tickets.

Theme area full standing room blocks

This match is also expected to see almost full standing room. SV 98 therefore asks all fans to arrive early and, as soon as the stadium opens, to take up positions as far away from the stairs and block entrances as possible. Under no circumstances should fans stand on the stairs or directly in the entrance area. Your friends in your block may not be able to get into the stands or leave safely – regardless of medical assistance. We can only succeed together!

Experience shows that there are usually still gaps in the lower rows and on the outer edges of the blocks, while there is a bottleneck at the block entrance at kickoff. Furthermore, fewer standing tickets were sold than permitted. Nevertheless, everyone’s cooperation is needed to ensure a pleasant experience for all fans.

Weather Forecast

Temperatures are expected to reach 17 degrees Celsius under cloudy skies. There is a 30 percent chance of precipitation.
