The game day quote

The DFB Cup is an outstanding competition that, as is well known, has its own rules. If you perform well and have a bit of luck, then you can be in the final as an underdog. Just like it was with Kaiserslautern last season. Of course, that's everyone's dream.

The Stadium

The Millerntor is more than just a football stadium. It is a place full of memories of big games, many moments and emotions. The Millerntor – this stadium directly on Hamburg’s Reeperbahn – is the home ground of FC St. Pauli. Tolerance, diversity and social cohesion are lived in this stadium – including tireless efforts against racism and discrimination. A place where football and social commitment go hand in hand.

The opponent's opinion

Nabil Toumi, Teutonia’s new head coach, at the press conference before the game: „The fact that Darmstadt didn’t start the season so well certainly plays a role. Just like we didn’t exactly get off to the ideal start and that’s of course also the case. If there’s something about the boys‘ self-confidence, it’s of course exactly the same with Darmstadt. Both teams will have to see how they get on the pitch and start in the first few minutes.“

The Officials

  • Referee: Florian Lechner
  • Assistants: Julius Martenstein and Kevin Behrens
  • Fourth Official: Tobias Severins
  • No VAR in the first round of the Pokal.

The Weather Forecast

The sky over the Hanseatic city will probably be cloudy for almost the entire Sunday. Temperatures around 21 degrees celsius are expected. The chance of rain during the Lilies‘ cup game against Teutonia Ottensen is between 20 and 30 percent.
