After starting the season in the 2nd Bundesliga, the Lilies are now challenged in the national cup competition: SV Darmstadt 98 travels north and meets regional league team Teutonia Ottensen in the Hanseatic city of Hamburg. Nabil Toumi, Teutonia’s new head coach, at the press conference before the game: „The fact that Darmstadt didn’t start the season so well certainly plays a role. Just like we didn’t exactly get off to the ideal start and that’s of course also the case. If there’s something about the boys‘ self-confidence, it’s of course exactly the same with Darmstadt. Both teams will have to see how they get on the pitch and start in the first few minutes.“

SV Darmstadt 98's U21 team proved their mettle at home against KSV Hessen Kassel II in the Hessenliga on Sunday (Oct. 11th). Despite falling behind, Darmstadt secured their second consecutive home win! Darmstadt defeated Energie Cottbus 3-1 (1-1). The home side equalised after conceding an early goal in the four-minute period through Weißhaupt before halftime. Vukotic headed his team into the lead in the second half, before Lührs sealed the victory with the third goal. This home win brings Darmstadt's season total to seven points.
