The opening of the BoxKlub Martinsviertel (BKMV) is fast approaching. On Thursday, September 3, the new boxing club will open its doors for the first time at 5pm. At the Baas Hall (Pankratiusstraße 35), interested children and young people—along with their parents—can find out more about the new program without any obligation and get a first taste of boxing.
The BoxKlub Martinsviertel is a joint project involving SV Darmstadt 98, Rope e.V., and the Youth Services department of the City of Darmstadt. Rope e.V. is responsible for running the program. The first regular training session will take place one week after the open house event.
The launch event on September 3rd focuses on introductions. In addition to receiving information about the new boxing club, visitors will have the chance to get active themselves and try out punching bags or focus mitts while wearing boxing gloves. Food and drinks will also be provided, including a barbecue.
The program is free of charge and aimed at children and young people aged 12 to 21. The club also provides the necessary equipment. Those interested can sign up for the open event without obligation and drop by to learn about the program and get a feel for the sport of boxing.
