SV 98 got their ticket for the next round in the DFB Cup: with a 3-1 (2-0) win against the regional league team FC Teutonia 05. The Lilien goals in the Millerntor Stadium were scored by Klefisch (19th), Nürnberger (28th, penalty) and Vilhelmsson (62nd).

Niemczycki in goal, also Müller new into the team

Two changes in the starting eleven of SV Darmstadt 98. Compared to the league game against SC Paderborn, both Karol Niemczycki and Andreas Müller are new to the Lilies' first eleven in the DFB Cup against Teutonia Ottensen. They replace Marcel Schuhen and the ill Klaus Gjasula in the starting line-up. Clemens Riedel will lead SV 98 onto the field as captain.
