SV Darmstadt 98 won their fourth pre-season friendly. The Lilies defeated regional league side FC-Astoria Walldorf 4-1 (0-0) after 120 minutes.
Fabian Nürnberger speaks in the media round about the Bulgarian national team, the eLilien want to score points against Hertha BSC and the fan team is celebrating a resounding victory. You can find out everything about it in our “Lilies across the Board” section.
Fabian Nürnberger now has three appearances in the Bulgarian national team. Already during his time in Nürnberg there was repeated contact between the Bulgarian association and the left-footed player. Since he started playing for the Lilies, this has become more intense. Playing for the national team is “definitely something different,” explained Nürnberger in a media round on Wednesday and added, with a view to the first games in the national team: “That certainly gave me a little push.”
With Nürnberger on the pitch, Bulgaria is still unbeaten and things are currently going more than passably for the 25-year-old in Darmstadt. Also thanks to the new coaching team around Florian Kohfeldt: “There are a lot of new processes and you can develop well individually under him.”
The team has fun off the pitch, especially on the table tennis table. “I hate to praise him, but Vukotic is already the best. But no wonder with the long arms.” Nürnberger also sees himself and coach Kohfeldt very high up in the team.
In the away game at Spvgg. Seeheim-Jugenheim II, the SV 98 fan team celebrated a clear victory. The final result was 7-2, with 24 points the “zwote Zwote” is now in seventh place in the table. The gap to the playoffs are only 5 points away and the team have a game in hand.
Next Sunday (November 10th) the team will welcome TSG Wixhausen. Kick-off is at 2:30pm.
With the success against FC Augsburg, the Lilien eFootballers got off to a successful start in the Virtual Bundesliga. However, on the second matchday there was a bitter 0-2 derby defeat against Eintracht Frankfurt.
The eLilien’s next opportunity to score points is this Wednesday against Hertha BSC. The duel starts at 7:15pm.
