Transfer News: Lannert Becomes Part of the Lilies
SV 98 remains active in the transfer market. The "Lilies" have signed Christopher Lannert from Arminia Bielefeld.

Christopher Lannert: „After three years in Bielefeld, I am really looking forward to this move to the ‚Lilies,‘ a team I followed closely, especially last season. I quickly felt that both my playing style and my personality would be a great fit for the team’s philosophy and the club as a whole. The upcoming training camp will certainly help me settle in and get to grips with the team’s routines.“
The 28-year-old came up through the youth ranks at FC Bayern and FC Augsburg; a native of Munich, he made 84 appearances in the Regionalliga Bayern for FCA’s second team between 2017 and 2020. After his time in Augsburg, the full-back signed with SC Verl, playing 69 matches for the East Westphalian club. Lannert played for TSV 1860 Munich during the 2022/23 season before moving to Bielefeld in the summer of 2023. With Arminia, the right-footed player celebrated promotion to the 2. Bundesliga and made a total of 118 competitive appearances. Last season, Lannert played 28 matches in the 2. Bundesliga.
He will wear the number 28 shirt at SV 98.

Young Lilies suffer narrow defeat in Fernwald
Last Saturday (October 31st), SV Darmstadt 98’s U21 side suffered a narrow 1-0 (1-0) defeat away to FSV Fernwald. Despite maintaining good control of the game for long stretches, the Young Lilies were unable to make a decisive breakthrough in the final third.
Verkooijen out for an extended period
During the cup match in Elversberg (October 27th), Nicolas Verkooijen sustained a rupture of the syndesmotic ligament in his right ankle. As a result, the 19-year-old will be sidelined for SV 98 for several months.

Showing solidarity and celebrating amateur football: SV Darmstadt 98 visited 13 amateur clubs in the Odenwald region on Sunday (November 1st). 26 professional players from the club used the visits to engage with the local people.
