+++ Odenwald +++

On Sunday, 26 professional players from the Lilien visited 13 amateur clubs in the Odenwald region. The focus was on engaging with fans, youth players, and club officials, as well as recognizing the value of volunteer work. In addition to participating in activities like foosball matches and crossbar-hitting challenges, the professionals gained insight into the day-to-day operations of these local clubs. A prize draw also offered the hosts a chance to secure financial support for their youth development programs.

Through these visits, SV 98 highlights its strong connection to the Odenwald region. Numerous initiatives have already taken place in the area over the past few months, with more planned for the near future.

+++ DFB-Pokal +++

The DFB-Pokal is moving on to the next round, and the Lilien are part of it! Their next opponent has been confirmed, and they’ll be heading to the ista-Borussia-Park: on December 1st at 8:45pm, the Darmstadt side will play away against Borussia Mönchengladbach.

+++ Media Session +++

In a media session yesterday, Tuesday (November 3rd), Kai Klefisch discussed, among other things, the team’s ongoing development and the upcoming away match in Nürnberg. For Klefisch, a solid defence serves as the foundation of the team’s play. The balance between defence and attack highlights the progress the squad is currently making. „We’ve laid the groundwork; now we can build on it,“ Klefisch stated. Regarding the early stages of the match against Magdeburg—when the team struggled to implement its pressing game—the midfielder emphasised that, rather than pointing fingers at others, it is important to first look at one’s own performance.

Looking ahead to the weekend, he anticipates a „tough but exciting match“ against an opponent that clearly aims to play football. The goal, he noted, is to demonstrate that the defence remains stable while still finding ways to win back possession.
