Round of 16 in the DFB Cup: Darmstadt 98 face Gladbach

The DFB Cup round of 16 matches have been drawn: SV Darmstadt 98 will travel to Borussia Mönchengladbach. This was the result of the draw, which took place on Sunday evening (November 1st) at the German Football Museum in Dortmund and was broadcast live on ARD's Sportschau program. Markus Gaugisch, coach of the German women's handball team, acted as the draw's "lucky charm."

Paul Fernie: „Naturally, we would have preferred to play at the Bölle, but we also showed in Elversberg that we can surprise a Bundesliga team away from home. We’re looking forward to the match in Mönchengladbach and will do everything we can to experience another special cup evening.“

The matches will be played on December 1st or 2nd, 2026. The exact schedule will be announced soon.
