Premiere of the Lilien Relay Marathon! On August 27th, SV Darmstadt 98 Stadion GmbH will host its first running event around the Merck Stadium at Böllenfalltor. Running enthusiasts can form groups of two to eight runners and complete a marathon or half marathon distance together.
The long wait is over! On Sunday afternoon (June 22nd), head coach Florian Kohfeldt invited his team onto the pitch at the Merck Stadium at Böllenfalltor in temperatures exceeding 30 degrees Celsius. Instead of cooling off at the outdoor pool, around 350 spectators made their way to Bölle to watch the Lilies for 60 minutes of their opening training session.
SV Darmstadt 98 has filled another open squad position shortly before the start of training: Left-back Leon Klassen (25) is moving from Lyngby BK to South Hesse.
Andreas Müller will no longer wear the Lilien jersey: The midfielder, who joined Darmstadt on a free transfer in the summer of 2023, is moving from SV 98 to Karlsruher SC. Both clubs have agreed to keep the transfer terms confidential.

With the first rays of sunshine, the first players arrived at the training building on Nieder-Ramstädter Straße – and they were all feeling palpable anticipation. "Have you missed us?" Marcel Schuhen called out to the group, cheerful and dressed for summer, as he headed toward the Merck Stadium at Böllenfalltor. Fellow goalkeeper Alexander Brunst also reflected the positive mood. With a broad grin, he addressed the camera: "I hope you're all well. It's finally starting again!"
First signing in the attacking area for the upcoming season: Yosuke Furukawa moves from Jubilo Iwata to SV Darmstadt 98. The 21-year-old Japanese is at home in the attacking midfield and can be deployed there flexibly.

When the 98ers play against the world's oldest professional football club on Wednesday (July 9th at 6:30pm), you can secure an absolute VIP experience.
